Americans don't like it

Americans do not like it, but I believe that many see that it is a necessary evil. Bailing the Washington and Wall Street fat cats out of a greedy mess that they created, is not what Americans want to be doing.

In fact right in the middle of the mess this week, Rasmussen ran a poll asking Americans if the government should bail out failing financial companies. Only 7% of Americans believe that we should.

Yet, I believe that most Americans understand that we have no choice but to support another bailout plan. That does not mean we have to like it.

Still, even with this latest bailout, the Washington fat cats insist on adding to the burden of everyday Americans by adding a few bonus checks to the pile of money we are already giving away.

Rumor has it that there are some Democrats trying to use this bailout to not only stabilize the markets but also they want to add a couple more of their pet projects to the deal.

Social spending and infrastructure funds. The most liberal Democrats are pushing to have an economic stimulus package — with unemployment extensions, infrastructure spending and aid to states — tacked on to the bill. But Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) is trying to get her caucus to hold off, fearing it could delay the critical Treasury package, according to Democratic aides.

Loading this rescue plan up with tons of pork for the Roadbuilders and such is absolutely the wrong direction to go.

It is bad enough that we have to do this, but then having these liberals shake us down for even more money for pet projects is beyond ludicrous.

No Democrat or Republican should be allowed to add any useless garbage to this bailout bill.

Get it done and let's move on.

By the way, wasn't Barack Obama part of the crowd of liberal democrats attempting to add an economic stimulus package to this plan???

Why, yes he is...

Barack Obama today endorsed moves in Washington to give the Treasury Department and the Federal Reserve broad authority to stabilize the credit markets, but said those actions should be accompanied by a second stimulus package aimed at relieving burdens on families affected by the current economic slump.

And this man wants to be president???? Even Nancy Pelosi is having fight off liberal Obama and his free money cohorts in Congress.

This should be a bipartisan effort that both sides agree on, but I have a feeling that is not the direction we are heading.

PS. Everyone does realize that there is no such thing as a government bailout, right? Government has no money. You have money and they will take it and give it the the greedy fat cats to bail them out.

I have had it with the government elitist that keep stealing out money, promising to be responsible with it and then proceed to rip us off.
