No respect for Green Bay Packers

This is annoying.

The Green Bay Packers have become the Rodney Dangerfield of the NFL. They don't get any respect!

I just caught this headline on the Yahoo Sports Page

"Packers up next for impressive Cowboys"

Notice how it does not say, "Cowboys up next for impressive Packers".

If you actually read the article, the author raves on and on about the Cowboys.

As glorious as it all sounds for a franchise with such a proud history, these milestones will be pretty useless if the Cowboys don't win their next game -- at home, Thursday night, against Brett Favre and the Green Bay Packers, who happen to also be 10-1.

Catch that last part of this paragraph. Apparently, the Packers just "happen" to be 10-1 also.

The Cowboys just "happen" to be my second favorite team in the league, but this is really annoying. The only time I do not root for them is when they play the Packers.

Clearly the media has anointed the Cowboys the greatest NFC team and the Patriots the greatest AFC team.

Wouldn't it be fun if the Packers just "happen" to beat the Cowboys?

Maybe then they will get some respect around the league!
